Luthier

I was born in Thessaloniki in 1972, though the story of my hands really begins in 1993 — the year I first held a piece of wood and understood, almost instinctively, that it could hold a voice. That fascination, with how raw timber is coaxed into something that breathes and sings, has never left me. It's the thread that has run through more than three decades of my life. I began with traditional Greek instruments before turning my attention to the classical guitar, a discipline that would come to define my craft.

Tradition is not a monument. It is a river — old at its source, new at every bend.

This confirmed itself in me at every step of my journey. As I studied the oldest surviving instruments, I also built my own replicas — vihuelas, Baroque guitars, Romantic guitars, the great Torres models. Building them, alongside studying them, is what proved this truth to me.

So this is my own way of building in the present:

Hold on to and respect the fundamental philosophy of classical guitar making. Bring in new techniques and modern materials, to serve the needs of our time and reach the result I have always held as my ideal:

An instrument of real volume, real balance. Playability so natural it vanishes beneath the fingers. And a voice that draws out the very best a guitar can give.

The Workshop

The Workshop

A guitar is never built by one person alone. Long before the first shaving of wood curls onto the floor, it already belongs to two people — the hands that shape it and the hands that will one day play it. That meeting, between luthier and musician, is where I believe an instrument truly begins. My workshop exists for that exchange: a place to trade ideas, needs, and small acts of innovation around the instrument we both serve — the classical guitar.
